The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has congratulated the Iranian New Year, calling it a year of ‘innovation’ and ‘flourishing’. In a televised message, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei congratulated the nation on the occasion of Nowruz (the Iranian New Year) and wished that it would bring about “great prosperity” for all Iranians. The leader said two goals in the New Year are expected, namely “innovation” in economic, political and cultural arenas and “flourishing” in various fields. The leader also called on the government and the nation to cooperate in materializing the goals, making every effort to make up for shortcomings. Pointing to the great achievements made by the Iranian nation in the past year, the leader called on Iranian officials and the nation to defend their national dignity and take major steps to improve the country’s situation.
